We sat down for a quick Q & A with Ben and Jon from Tailwind Creative to find out more about these young movers and shakers.
MODA3: What is it you guys do exactly?
Tailwind: The one line pitch is Tailwind Creative is a digital marketing agency that uses high quality content to build relationships and increase leads online. In short, that means we help deserving and unique brands tell their story and grow their presence online. We are a swiss army knife of design, development, and digital marketing.
MODA3: Nice…I know we enjoyed working with you guys and love the ‘swiss army’ knife approach. How long have you (Ben) and Jon been established as Tailwind Creative? I know this isn’t the first time you guys have partnered up…
Tailwind: We are pretty new to the block. Tailwind Creative was officially formed about 4 months ago, but Jon and I have been working together for almost a year now. We both come from the tech startup scene where we were continually crossing paths before we decided to join forces.
MODA3: So basically you saw the need for this all-in-one web agency and jumped to it. Talk about filling a void! That’s amazing. What are the pros and cons of working for friends like your project with us?
Tailwind: The relationship is much different than that of a regular client. The entire process is easier since communication is open and casual. It is easier to convey the goals and vision of the project, and we don’t have to worry so much about managing expectations. So far we haven’t run into many cons, but it is still early.
MODA3: Yeah, I’d imagine it would be a lot more relaxed atmosphere than say some big, corporate projects you’ll be involved with. So other than the chance to work for friends and family what else keeps Tailwind Creative fun?
Tailwind: We do what we love! That may sound cliche, but it is true. We get to wake up everyday and have a creative outlet in design and code. Its probably what we would do anyway if we didn’t have to “work.”
