Saturday, July 14th | Tour De Fat Milwaukee

The New Belgium Brewing Co. is making a pit stop in Milwaukee for its third year with their pedal and beer powered Tour De Fat celebration. This multi-city festival is a brewing ground for sustainability and the societal importance of bikes. July 14th will feature a day of cycling, food, beer, and music too. This party will kick off at 10AM at McKinley Marina with a leisurely bike parade throughout the city. Riders are encouraged to wear costumes and bring out their whacky and wildest bike. The parade will conclude at around 11AM back at the McKinley Marina. Afterwards you can relax and soak up the sun while enjoying drinks, food, and workshops will your fellow riders. The Tour De Fat will also feature plenty of great tunes from Yo-Yo People, The Cleverly’s, and my personal favorites Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe. The event is entirely FREE but you are encouraged to show up early (around 9AM) for registration. What’s even cooler is New Belgium donates all funds raised from beer and merchandise sales to our very own Bike Federation of Wisconsin. So get out of your house, ride your bike, meet some new people, drink beers, see live music, and raise awareness to the importance of biking in our community.
